I'm a sucker for a good bus shelter. I mean... right?

Can’t even deal. I love kid dancers.

Good idea. But bad idea right? Feels like an electric shock lawsuit waiting to happen.

We need more of this. Where tech meets creativity.

I kind of love this. Most likely because I love everything Pixar. Except that time they made me cry (ie every time I watch on of their movies).

My clothes are now going to give me a better posture? WHHAAAA?

Blackberry has a square phone?!?!? AGHHHHH I kind of love this. Why do I love this?

Damn. Budweiser. Damn. Why you gots to make me cry with puppies?

First rule of fight club… err wrong movie. But good ads.

This makes me giggle. Uber problems

HP Spot. All Vines, All the time

Tesla Print Ads. So smart.

And finally some good ol fun nuggets.

Pedestrian roller coaster? You mean to tell me you can’t even climb through the loop? WTF? Not cool.

Guinea pigs playing basketball – blue team clearly needs to focus

Hugs. The Lion kind.

"You're only given one little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it."

The world got a little darker this week.  Fighting continues around the world, peaceful protests were turned upside down, we lost beloved people.... sad sigh.

We all just need a hug. Am I right?

If you watch Bravo, you'll know and love Edith, who passed this week. Her story, like many others, is truly remarkable.

We also lost Lauren Bacall. I mean... the pure definition of classy, classic, sexy, beautiful.

Then, of course, Robin Williams. I can't even talk about it. I found Jimmy Fallon's tribute fitting.

Well, now that we got through that.....

The guy who invented the pop up ad is sorry.  And well, he should be.

I found this to be an important reminder.  Creative work. Artistic work. Art. Creation. Shouldn't be expected to be free. Creatives, artists, designers, writers, musicians (so many more) are trained, make a living off their work and should be compensated for such.

Speaking of craftsmanship, this look into fedora making is stunning

In other news, it's back to school time. All kids should be going back to school with this. #fact

Oh! It's also shark week! That's fun and terrifying all at the same time. This southern comfort ad is really the only shark related thing I've watched this week.

Speaking of terrifying.  People. How many times have I told you that cats are the devil?

But back on track. Oreo did something rad this week. In the form of mini deliveries. Adorbs.

And Amazon launched local register. Which is pretty much Square, 5 years later.

Now let's all go back to hugging. Pretty Please?

A Week Involving Neverland Ranch and Fruit Panties.

This doesn’t seem safe, but well played ASICS.

Panty. Peach. Patent. I need not say anymore. Yes this is suitable for work. Unless your work has an anti peach nudity clause. In which case, call me. I have questions.

Real talk. This week got me thinking about time a lot. I'm all for digital advances that make life easier, more convenient etc. However, there comes a point where I need to ask, how much more time are we actually saving?

For example, this digital tattoo to unlock your phone faster.

Or this push a button for pizza delivery system.

And furthermore, are we working to save more time so as to enjoy life more? Or saving time to get back to our phones, digital life, next cool gadget? Deep thoughts on a Friday people.

Speaking of every single person's favorite gadget Tinder (or so I hear). They've been hijacked! But for such a good (and really cute) cause.

Levi's put on a live show in NYC this week with Sleigh Bells and Haim. The scenery was AMAZING (in Brooklyn, Pier 1 - see photos on my photo tab). They also took the moment to show us their new Live In Levi's campaign. Including this shoppable film

Where art meets music in your home. Thought this music wall was pretty rad.

Speaking of Art, I really like this Art Everywhere US project. See photos on my photo tab. You can even scan some of these to get more information. Go Art.

Legos kept coming up this week. First, images from their headquarters (yes please). And this new release featuring female scientists.  (I mean, should have released that one years ago but I will just be happy with the fact that it's here now).

Automated Post Office! So smart (says the girl that lives in the city with no doorman and often has to mail packages after normal hours). BUT I also love my local post office. Every time I want to be cut off by an amazing old lady I go to the post office and giggle. Old people don't got time for lines and you know what? I dig it.

I really want a restaurant or a food company to play around with this idea. So fun.

I love this and am scared by this. What if we all looked at the products we sold and asked the what if? Would we change how we make products today?

Wind. Reactive. Ink. Excuse me while my brain implodes.

If we all put this thought into the universe, then it must come true. Joan and Peggy FTW. Dream with me people. In the meantime, Snaps to Joan.

Speaking of Dreams, Neverland Ranch is finally up for sale.  Can't wait to see who nabs this.

And finally, some fun, silly nuggets:

Iceland - I want to go. Now. Travel buddies?

Weird song lyrics. We are such suckers for a good tune.

This isn’t nice, but could be useful. And well designed. (maybe NSFW)

Jay and Bey – keep it together people

That time when a shark ate Bieber. Oh wait...

I'm not going to lie. A lot of dreams came true this week. So. much. happiness.

Dear Orlando, on behalf of the world, Thank You.

And on that note, Morgan, the world also thanks you.

Oh what's that? A 3D store? When you wish upon a star people!

Charmin is pretty much winning in life with this beauty.

Tipbombing? Yea, BBH I could get into that.

First came ballet. Then SYTYCD. Now this. Misty is killing it. BTW, if 13 is too old what does that say about being 34? #donotanswerthat

Ever wonder what it would look like if you dropped Manhattan into the Grand Canyon? Obviously. But it really begs the question, what kind of animals would I be dealing with on my walk to work?

This is really how all discounts should be given.

Real life, recorded digitally then rewarded back in real life. Woah.

Don’t read this right before lunch – grilled cheese delivery!!!! aghaghaghagh

It’s not too late. Couldn't agree more.

No key cards AND the ability to pick my own room.  The future is here people.

So swearing is bad but shooting (paintballs) is ok? Ummmmm

Wearable clothing. I can't decide if I really want to be that close to my favorite athletes... but maybe I can be convinced

And in other news:

Welcome to my new home – it’s in DUMBO.  Well a girl can dream.

Colorado is like a gift that keeps on giving. Musical illuminated swing set? What the what?

And finally. A dog so happy she passes out.   Can't. Even.

July 25. A week of Funny Logos, Apple Love and Crisp Bacon.

Oh hi end of July. I'm not sure how you got here but happy to see you. I'll be sure to enjoy you, a glass of rose and this glorious weather today. But first, some nuggets.

12) Walking Contest. Game On. “Why can’t we walk together?”

11) APP of the week. Whatever happened to “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say it at all” I mean, it comes close... but where are all the happy thoughts?

10) Mmm bacon. Just in case you didn’t know how to make it perfectly.

9) Launching art in space?  Yes please. Stunning. Wonder which brand will try this first? Seems cheaper than Red Bull (or maybe not)

8) When humans help each other, everyone wins.  Loving this idea to help families pay their water bills in Detroit.

7) A lesson in new logos brought to you by Airbnb. NSFW EXCEPT the Family Guy one. Genius.

6)  It’s possible to kill a cactus. I know, I’ve done it. Oh what’s this? Plants that can’t die, because they’re made from paper? Dreamy.

5) Remember that time when we didn’t have cell phones? I do. It was glorious. YOLO, FOMO, and now MOMO.  Can’t wait to see what’s next*

*lies. I can wait.

4) I’m an equal opportunist wine drinker.  This kind of attitude often leads to choosing wine based on things like label design vs fruity undertones. In fact, a Simpsons inspired wine bottle would be right up my ally. Who’s with me?

3) I kind of hate selfies (shhh don't tell anyone). But maybe selfie accessories are a real money maker. Like this shirt. Or this toaster. Or perhaps you prefer your face on marshmallows. Tasty!

2) This week’s edition of bad idea jeans. Wonder if he’s single….

1) A small yet important step toward the flying cars Marty McFly promised me as a kid. And who doesn’t want their pizza delivered by a drone?

Annnd since my last post was awhile ago, here are a few nuggets you've probably seen. Unless you've been on vacation. In which case, you're welcome.

Ugly fruit – 1 Pretty fruit – 0

Cheerios and Dads. Awesome.

But... I prefer Fruit Loops and Super Mario Brothers.

Apple pretty much killed it this week.

Greeting card awesomeness

Rad photos – shore break

men + heels + beyonce = glorious

June 20. Bring it Summer. Bring It.

Happy Summer Friends!  Hope you're enjoying the sun, World Cup (sorry Spain and England) and Cannes... and if you're not in Cannes then just go get yourself a glass of rose.  Now. It's 5:00 somewhere. Promise.

10) When the world cup meets a Samurai you get noodles.  Wait.. wtf?

9) Your social media mistake of the week, brought to you by Delta. Fact check people, not hard these days.

8) Dear Restoration Hardware. I have one word for you. Digital. Look into it..  Now please break up with the 17lb catalogue.  Thanks.

7) Um what is this magical stuff and where are my legos?

6) I’m sorry (heh), I’m not sure what this has to do with shampoo… but damn them for knowing me all too well.

5) What happens when The Onion meets Buzzfeed? This. This is what happens. Warning this might be too glorious to handle… especially if you’re busy at work.

4) Retail in Real Time.  Not sure the firearms to Donuts sold ratio is comforting.

3) Humans and the Internet.  Always a win.

2) Hello Flo did it again and it’s amazing. Becoming a woman was not this funny when I was 12... just saying. Oh and in case you missed the first one check it here.  Red badge of courage! HA!

1) I’m not even sure what to say about factory farming.  Except maybe don’t watch this if you’ve just eaten and maybe don’t watch this one if you’re craving hamburgers… or bacon.  Marketing can be the problem, it can also be the solution.

And for fun...

Wow.... I need to step up my photography game... amazing photos

More photo fun! And remember, when you fall let go of what you're holding people.  Be safe of there (these are pretty much me living life... so clumsy)

June 6, 2014

10) Are you guys watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver? You should be. Here's why.

9) Research found that hurricanes with female names kill more people than those will male names.  The reason? Because people don't take the female named hurricanes as seriously as the male ones. Really people?  No. Really? The answer is obviously for the female hurricanes to lean in.... HA!

8) June 4th was national hug your cat day.  This is the best/worst day ever.  Lucky for all of you my love of hugs trumped my hate of cats... you're welcome.

7) Ever make a mistake? I make them all the time.  Want a lesson in how to apologize? This is a pretty good one.

6) I love this idea from Coke and creating 2nd lives for their bottles.  But... ummm is this really helping to cut down on plastic? I'm torn.

5) Vacuum cleaner + ooh billboard = pretty darn good idea.

4) This girl is 11.  This is her invention.  Damn smart kids these days.

3) The world cup starts next week!!! I'm so excited to pick a random team to cheer for! Err I mean go USA!  Any who, this Beats ad is pretty awesome... some might say $2 Billion kind of awesome (see what I did there?)

2) In order to properly prep for the World Cup you're going to need to binge watch Orange is the New Black season 2, out today on Netflix. If you haven't seen season 1, ummm you have a lot of catching up to do. Go. Now.

1) Newcastle wanted 50,000 more likes on facebook.  So they paid people to like them.  I will be receiving my $1 sometime in September.  What oh what to do with my new found wealth! Suggestions are welcome.

Alright Alright Alright.  Have an amazing weekend everyone.

Hugs

Leslie

Oh fine... just a few more...

This is a bit old, so you may have seen this. However, if you have it's worth a second viewing.  Such a solid solid way to take about weight loss.

This might be old too... but they are so freaking cool....

March 21, 2014

10) I have a new hero.  She's 4 and she makes dresses from paper and tape. You've probably already seen this, but it's worth seeing again, wouldn't you agree?

9) Remember the movie Sister Act? This is just like that.  But in real life... well if you call Italy real life (it's kind of magical)

8) The Boston Marathon is coming up.  This is a beautiful photo series paying tribute to last year's events.

7) Zappos + Instagram + #OOTD (outfit of the day for those not in the know!) = amazing.

6) My favorite ads always start with one simple idea.  This one started with a letter written by a mom-to-be and ended with me in messy sloppy tears.

5) WORM HOLE alert.  You can look up anyone's first tweet.  Here's Mine. And Yoko Ono's, which is basically perfection.

4) Oh hey Mr. Musk! I have an ad for you! Just kidding, I don't.  But these college grads did, and one Mr. Elon Musk tweeted it.  Advertising 2014 people.  All it takes is $1500, 2 college grads and a damn good idea.

3) I love when people take a product and rethink it.  And now I want Pringles. See how that works?

2) I'm pretty sure these two are going to make for some damn fine creative parents

1) Working in or with Detroit will leave a soft spot in your heart for this incredible city.  Shinola, a watch company from Detroit really nailed it with this campaign.  Their watches are pretty sweet too.

And some more viral fun.....

I'm not sure why... or how... or why this exists but I love every single second of it.

And last but not least.  If you aren't watching The Tonight Show with Jimmy (we're on a first name basis... in my head) then we should talk and you should have at least 3 good reasons why not.  I'll give you one good reason to watch right now.
